This video came out of nowhere, literally. There was no teaser or promotion for this comeback, which is a shame because it’s really good!
This is a really nice song. I love the chorus. It is sung by Sanchez from PHANTOM, and he sings it beautifully. The sound and pace of the song as a whole is soothing to listen to. Sometimes the raps got a bit boring and would have been better with a more definite rhythm. Regardless, as a whole I like the song. I particularly like the instrumental.
This music video is relatively simple, but it fits the sound and message of the song perfectly. They are singing about a girl very badly hiding the fact that she is cheating on them, and the colors and camerawork in the video reflect this message well. The solemn expressions of Dongwoo and Hoya against white and black rooms set the bitter, sad, and cold tone. I really like how throughout the video, we rarely get a clear view of the girl’s face, reflecting how distant she is to them.
The camerawork in the dance scenes is also done really well. The dance complements the video rather than take it over.
Dongwoo and Hoya both look very classy in their suits. It suits the concept, though I have to say that they do look a bit awkward performing a smooth dance in such stiff suits. Other than the dance scene, everything looks pretty good.
This dance is perfect for this type of song. It has slow, passionate movements to match the slow, serious song. The choreography even relates to the lyrics. While the dancers point to their heads, Sanchez sings that the girl must be crazy. The dance reflects that the girl is crazy, but at the same time also resembles the guy pointing a gun to his head, implying that the situation makes him so crazy that he could shoot himself. As always, Dongwoo and Hoya dance with perfect rhythm and synchronization.
Overall, I am really happy with this comeback. So much of this video goes against my personal taste, but it is put together so nicely that I can’t help but love it. I wish there was more hype for this video because it is so different from INFINITE H’s usual material and could really become popular if advertised more.
Overall Final Score: 4/5
